We want you to feel confident engaging Rental Buddy. Our refund policy is designed to be fair, clear, and easy to understand. We keep records of all work commenced and delivered so that any refund request can be assessed transparently.
If you request a cancellation before we have commenced drafting your documents, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount paid. We will process the refund within 5 business days of your request.
To request a cancellation, email [email protected] with your name and the date of your payment.
If drafting has commenced but the final pack has not yet been delivered, you may be entitled to a partial refund based on the proportion of work completed. We will provide a written breakdown of work completed to support any partial refund calculation.
Partial refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis and will be communicated within 3 business days of your request.
Once the final application pack has been delivered to you (via email), no refund is available unless otherwise agreed in writing. Delivery is evidenced by the timestamp of the email sent to your nominated address.
This policy does not affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, including rights relating to services not rendered with due care and skill.
Refunds are not available on the basis that your rental application was unsuccessful. Rental decisions are made by landlords and property managers, and are outside our control. We do not guarantee approval outcomes (see our Terms of Service).

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card provider.
